There are some major changes going on, so without further ado.

Farewell to Aaron

Aaron Garcia is taking a new full-time job and wanted to say farewell . . .

For the last 15 months, I have thoroughly enjoyed my role with Wired PC Guys, as your neighborhood computer support technician. So it is with a sad heart that June 27th will be my last day with Wired PC Guys. This decision comes after Jill (my wife) and I found out the great news that we are expecting our first little one come January. As we sat down, prayed, and spoke with close friends who gave us wise counsel, we decided that it would be best for me to look for another position, seeing where the Lord directed us. About the same time, Don and I had lunch, and he threw me a curve ball. Don encouraged me to talk with Thomas Wright (IT Director for Venture Net). Within a week I was given an offer to work for Venture Net full-time. This will provide for Jill and me, allowing us to have a steady income once we have our baby. We are thankful for God's provision in this, excited for this new season in life, and ready to explore the opportunity this new position offers.
Thanks to all our clients that I have had the pleasure of meeting, and many blessings to all of you! If you would like to keep updated on the pregnancy and how the new job is going, you can read it in our blog. You can even see a picture of our first sonogram. (She/ He looks like a little peanut to me, but you can be the judge.)

What Will Happen to Wired PC Guys?

For those of you who have been with me prior to Aaron's arrival last year, this is just a return to the old way. For you new clients it might be a little bit of a shock, but before long, you'll be thinking "When I want it done well, I'll call well Don." Yes, the Wired PC Guys brand will be phased out fairly quickly. WiredPCGuys.com already takes you straight to wellDon!net. And when you call the main number - 214.295.8398 - you'll start hearing my friendly "howdy".

Rate Structure

Prior to Aaron's decision to take the position with Venture Net, we had been discussing our rate structure. A new rate structure will go into effect on June 28th. I hope you will take a few minutes to take a look at the new rates so there won't be any surprises the next time you call to set up an appointment. Note: For one hour house calls, the price is the same under the new rate structure.

Since I'll be doing web development and tech support, I'm going to be plenty busy. I'm not going to tell you not to tell your friends about me, but for the forseeable future, I'm not going to be making any pleas to have you tell all your friends about me.

Closing Thoughts

I'd say that this is a new adventure, but this kind of takes me back to where I was about a year and a half ago. I've missed helping folks with their tech support needs, and I'm excited about re-connecting with some of you whom I haven't seen in a while. And I'm just as excited about meeting some new folks who Aaron has had the exclusive privilege of working with over the last year.
