Well Don!

Farewell, Introduction to Ken Teaff, Other Newsletters

Howdy all! It's been over six months since my most recent newsletter, but I've got some exciting news - this will be your last wellDON! newsletter. I am officially getting out of the tech support business. After 7 years of juggling my tech support clients and website development clients, I believe the time has come for me to focus my efforts.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many of you over the years. As much fun as my website work is, I've always appreciated the relational dynamic of tech support. It's been great to not just fix problems for you, but to empower many of you to do the things that you didn't think you could do on your own.

Lest you think that I'm going to leave you in the lurch, let me introduce you to . . .

Ken Teaff

Ken is a friend of a couple of friends from church, and they've known him for a number of years and spoke very highly of him. Ken has almost 20 years of technical experience. He spent 8 years with EDS in Plano and has owned his own business for over 10 years. He was referred to me by friends at church, who’ve known him for many years.

Ken's company, The Dallas Group, has clients as far away as Tyler and Fort Worth, but focuses on north Dallas and the northern suburbs so that he can be as responsive as possible.

The Dallas Group is part of a network of small IT providers that covers the whole range of telecommunications and information technologies. He can provide support for Windows and Mac computers and networks, deal with your Blackberry / iPhone / PDA issues, setup email, troubleshoot internet connectivity issues, and help your small business or your household reduce its monthly communications expenses.

Ken answers his phone at all hours will respond to any emergency as quickly as possible, including weekends and holidays.

For more information about what Ken charges and how to get a hold of him, check out his website at http://www.dallasgroup.biz/. If you do use Ken's services, please be sure to let him know that you're a former Well Don client.

Your Information

For many of you, I have kept records of your network login information, email passwords, etc. If you would like me to give you any of that information that you are concerned that you might not have, please let me know by the end of this month. Sometime around August 1st, I will go through my records and permanently delete all of that information. I will not pass along any of that information to Ken, though I will be giving him a list of my clients' names and contact information so that he will have that information on hand when you call him the first time.

Other Newsletters

Some of you might want some other newsletters to subscribe to so you can keep up-to-date on the latest technology trends. Here are a few of my recommendations:

Closing Thoughts

I will really miss you all. I thank you for your business over the last seven years and wish you the best in your future endeavors. I hope you will give Ken the opportunity to take care of your tech support needs.

Feel free to stop by my website from time to time to see what I'm working on and catch small personal updates. (Sometime in the next week I hope to post my Hawaii pictures from that trip I took in back in February. And when I get back from my trip to Argentina in August to visit my best friend Scott in Córdoba, hopefully I'll post those pictures relatively quickly!)

Best wishes to you all,

Don Dinnerville
